PET STAINS AND ODOR

Our pets are part of the family and we love them. But while they're soft on our hearts, they're very hard on carpet and furniture. Pet urine stains are often the most difficult of all stains to remove. Not only the yellow tint of the deposit, but the foul odor as well.

1) Urine Neutralization is the first step to pet stain removal. Our urine neutralizer's primary ingredient, citric acid, neutralizes alkaline urine salts and also eliminates odors caused by bacteria. Surfactants and other agents help deliver the citric acid deep into the carpet pad to ensure thorough flushing and removal of urine salts, proteins, and fats. Eight neutralizing/cleaning agents dissolve urine salts, remove decontamination, and eliminate odors. The neutralization step accomplishes 3 important things:
-
Complete urine decontamination
-
Dissolves and removes alkaline salt deposits
-
Botanical citric acid also aids in removing odors typically associated with bacteria
2) Odor Removal is the second step to pet stain removal. We stay away form odor cover-ups and deodorizers as those simply do not do the trick with pet odor. We use an odor counteractant which contains an odor neutralizer that binds to and absorbs odors. As long as it contacts the effected area, our odor counteractant will kill the odor. The odor removal step accomplishes the following:
-
Eliminates odor on contact
-
Eliminates odor permanently
-
Destroys odors in carpet, upholstery, mattresses, and grout
-
No oxidizers
-
No enzymes
-
No bacteria
3) Stain removal is the final step. Urine stains are often extremely difficult to remove in areas that have suffered extreme urine damage, especially in cases where the urine is months or years old, as chemical decomposition and the extreme alkalinity create a multitude of chemical compounds that need to be removed and the urine will often "dye" dyeable carpet such as nylon or wool. While we cannot reverse the dyeing process or bleaching action of old urine stains, we do have a VERY aggressive but safe stain remover. It uses surfactants to penetrate deeply into the fibers, delivering a potent shot of peroxide that neutralizes and removes stains caused by urine, vomit, feces, blood and other organic stains. If our urine stain remover can't get it out, it's not getting out!

Flash Extraction. None of the previous steps will work without complete extraction. Extraction is the most efficient method of removing urine in carpet after neutralizing treatments. As with all of our cleaning processes (other than fine rug washing), we utilize the power of our truckmounted power plant. When removing urine, we use what is called a "Flash Extractor." This subsurface extractor tool is designed for flushing urine, treatment solutions and water completely out of carpet and pad, without removing the pad. Watch our video above to see our Flash Extractor in action.

We use our "Flash Extractor" to flush out pet urine completely from your carpet and pad.
